Michael C. Brady - House Rover

This was my first real robot - I built it to learn about robot navigation and computer vision and wireless communications. Of course there turned out to be a long list of issues that will need to be resolved before it can be of much use. I plan to put another development effort into it again before long because I think it makes for a pretty excellent teaching tool and research platform. It is big enough that it can carry around a hefty power supply and interact with people but small enough that it doesn't need a parking lot or gymnasium for its operations.

Click on the television to watch old movie of it randomly roving without its case when it had smaller wheels.
