My main research interest involves biology-inspired machine learning for robotics. I focus on speech motor control with perceptual feedback as my primary modeling platform but I am also interested in robot vision and robot spatial representations. Other interests include music cognition, human-robot interaction, rhythm, language, and more. Some of my hobbies include long distance mountain hiking, the games of go and chess, playing guitar, and writing science fiction short stories. I also like creating my own robots (even though most of my work involves simulated robots). Below are some links to learn more about me.
